Description

Language learning can often be a source of anxiety. Fear of expressing oneself in public or difficulties in understanding often form a block that starts at school and that is sometimes difficult to overcome. ELFE offers an innovative method with the quantum leap.

In physics, a quantum leap is an abrupt change in the state of a system, almost instantaneously. We go from a given energy state to another energy state. Applied to language learning, it is a matter of getting out of a state where one has often been settled for a long time with certainties about the impossibility of progressing and finally being able to use the language in question in a fluent manner and to understand it in various oral communication situations.

This is also the leap that any student in intensive training can make in oral expression and comprehension from the end of level A2, known as the “elementary” level.

The training can last from 20 hours to 80 hours, in blocks of 20 hours. This method requires the trainer to be dynamic and empathetic in knowing when to stimulate and when to relax the student.

Training content

Systematic oral comprehension exercises. A2, B1, B2.
The use of songs, not only as an introduction to French culture, but also as a way to memorize idiomatic expressions, vocabulary and to become familiar with the rhythm of the language. Fun learning that rhymes with pleasure!
Listening and speaking exercises at B2 level from the end of A2 level. Listening work on excerpts from television news, then restitution of the information through role-plays between two or more people. This method is the key to training. The student understands almost nothing at the first listening. The understanding is progressive and the student is able to reproduce all the information as the exercises progress. It is a very effective cognitive tool: the learner’s brain becomes aware of its ability to express itself at length, to clarify its thoughts and to explain information in detail.

If necessary, hypnosis, sophrology and even EMDR can be used for major blocks.
